The premise of the app is great and the interface is very user friendly, even for a tech hag like myself. It worked fine the first while I had it and then it gradually got worse.

I used it a lot over quarantine to show my mum videos and watch commentary videos and TV shows like Crashbox with my girlfriend. I originally downloaded this app a couple years ago to watch a kids show with my ex boyfriend, and it worked fine. We are happy to chat anytime! This is a funny, weird, temporary fix that has worked for some of our other users describing what you've mentioned here. If you've done this, and then your headphones are disconnecting from the app, can you try leaving the Rave app, and switching to the Phone/FaceTime app and starting a call quickly, and then ending it? And then go back into the Rave app.
Watch together Bluetooth#
Make sure you have the Bluetooth icon in the top left corner of the video player clicked, and then also click the AirPlay icon. Lastly, Bluetooth can be finicky in Rave, and this is another thing we are really determined to fix.
Regarding the mic being too loud over top of the movie, our developers are investigating this and working on a fix. Right now, we are focused on bug fixes (like Bluetooth one you described) as well as adding more streaming content. Regarding video chatting in Rave, this is definitely something we are interested in adding to the app in the future. Hey! One last thing is, I use Bluetooth headphones and when I try to connect them to the Bluetooth button it connects for a few seconds but then it turns off and says “no Bluetooth devices found”. The mic volume is very loud and covers up the movie sound. It’s very quiet until you both turn the mic off. When the mic is on you can’t really hear the movie as well. With friends you could see their reactions while hearing each other. I think it would be more fun if you could have a video rave. But the few things I dislike is that I can’t see my friends reactions to the movies or shows. Thrill seekers could even give online escape room games a go, but it’s probably easier to play games on Steam instead.I’ve been waiting for an app that lets you watch Netflix together cause it’s like all I ever use haha. If you’re an iPhone or iPad user, you could try fun iMessage games to keep yourself busy, or give some two-play games a try online instead. Watching videos isn’t for everyone, however. Whether you’re looking to watch movies together with friends online, or you just want a new and interesting way to stay in touch, there are plenty of apps and websites out there to help keep your friendships with distant friends from going stale. If you’re creating your own music, you can even share it with others using Rave’s sister service, Rave DJ, allowing you to view it (and other new music) together through the Rave app. Unlike other platforms, however, Rave has a focus on music (although you’re free to play any type of video content you like).

Rave is totally mobile based, with Android and iPhone apps available to use. You can set up a private party, or start a public “rave” and get to know other like-minded users. Videos playing between shared users are synced, with a built-in text and voice chat system allowing you to communicate with your friends and family.
